- Summary:
Set in the People’s Republic of China during the 1990s, the film centers on a 13-year-old substitute teacher, Wei Minzhi, in the Chinese countryside. Called in to substitute for a village teacher for one month, Wei is told not to lose any students. When one of the boys takes off in search of work in the big city, she goes looking for him. The film addresses education reform in China, the economic gap between urban and rural populations, and the prevalence of bureaucracy and authority figures in everyday life. It is filmed in a neorealist/documentary style with a troupe of non-professional actors who play characters with the same names and occupations as the actors have in real life, blurring the boundaries between drama and reality.

Sorry I know I am a bit late but the movie only playing Spanish audio…there is no Mandarin audio option available…tried with latest vlc, gom & mpc player but didn’t find anything…can u plz see if anything can happen with this…Thanks.

it’s dual audio means have both Spanish & English audio embedded within! u should’ve checked it before cursing u knw…thats the norm before blaming others! select the language from ur media player of which i can’t be much help of unless u knw ur player well…u may google!
I’m sorry Darling but I firstly checked if there is second audio and then wrote a comment. I played it (CD1) under 3 players, and every one shows only one audio stream. this is what MediaInfo says about it: there is only one 21,5 mb audio vorbis stream here. Maybe second one was lost somehow during encoding?
for me, it gives dual audio for gomplayer, mpcstar, kmplayer & vlcplayer with their latest updated versions…i always use these 4 to check & play my encodes before posting here! maybe it’s a problem from ur side then…maybe bcz of codacs?! not sure thu!
