    This drama is about 24 years of Higuchi Ichiyo’s life. Higuchi Ichiyo was a writer in the Meiji Period. She was very tough and had a strong will, and she became a writer because she had wanted to be a pioneer in woman’s liberation movement. On November 1st, 2004, new 5,000 yen bills were issued in Japan . And Higuchi Ichiyo is the first woman who is selected as a portrait on bills.
