- Summary:
The film follows the misadventures of a girl called Midori who, after losing her mother, joins the fairground freak show. She is being constantly harassed, abused and humiliated by everyone on the show until a dwarf-magician-hypnotist appears.
The film was single handedly created by Hiroshi Harada. Given the subject matter, Harada had found it impossible to gain sponsors. He then used all of his life savings to make the film over a five year period. Over 5000 separate sheets of animation were hand drawn by Harada.The film is very hard to find as the original film has been destroyed and only a handful of bootleg video copies were known to exist. In 2006, a French DVD of the film was made for a European only release.

I am crying watching this movie….i voted 10 stars, nice movie :'(
Mein gott that was terrible and psychologically damaging and yes I really really don’t recommend it for little children despite the fact it looks like an interesting animation and heeeeres why: Violence, Nudity, Rape and Sex Scenes and geeze I’m just getting scared thinking about it. Whenever Midori cries, its sounds like a banshee …ugh my ears. I do feel sorry for Midori, that little girl went through too much with those sorts of people but I can now understand why Harada found it hard to found sponsors, its a grim grim film but I say well done to him for doing it by himself and never giving up, its just I don’t like this film.
3/10 (3 because he tried hard. I really disliked the movie)
I’d like to point out that this movie is “Not 4 Kids” (Somebody tag this movie) it contains disturbing scenes of violence and sex.
It is not that I did not like it but it could be mistaken as only a horror anime movie. I would not like a kid watching it by mistake.
