Synopsis
ICAC Investigator YEUNG KWOK CHYU (Julian Cheung) investigates a case involving an insurance agent receiving benefits from an ophthalmologist. Inspector Yeung discovers that the case actually involves several million of an insurance plan fraud. SUM SAI MAN (Wilfred Lau) sneaks his way into the loopholes of the insurance compensation system and takes advantage of his insurance agent and sister-in-law (Maggie Siu). He recruited a group of Mainlanders to pretend to be blind Hong Kongers. Later, he deliberately sets up a fake accident in Mainland to explain how these people became blind. In Hong Kong, he cheated over a million in insurance compensation funds! After ICAC investigations, it was revealed the ‘insured persons’ had no record of their entry into the country and also never purchased insurance. Synopsis
Fashion label ‘On Hin International’ chairman HUNG HON ON (Teddy Robin) started the business with his family from scratch. Synopsis
Hospital Director GUNG WAI LIM (Kenneth Tsang) was prosecuted by the ICAC for his involvement in fraud of a patient’s medical expenses. One day, the hospital received a call from a private patient, asking why they received two of the same bills. The Hospital discovered there is something strange about the case and eventually decided to pass the case onto the ICAC. LEE NAM (Kary Ng) and WU JING YUEN (Sammul Chan) met with the patient YEUNG SIU HING (Lawrence Lau), where they discover GUNG made a false medical report. During the investigation, it was found that there was a lack of supervision in the private patients billing system. WU suggests someone has been undertaking acts of dishonesty, bypassing the medical billing system and secretly transferring patients’ payments into their personal bank account. Is GUNG the actual mastermind of the fraud? Does he have a partner in crime? Was his medical expenditures used for scientific research or for personal purposes?
