  • Summary:

    In Nagasaki in the 1950s, fortunes suddenly change for the wealthy Sano family which is a timber merchant. With its business on the rocks, the family moves from their luxurious mansion to a tenement house. Masashi (Oyagi Kaito), a fifth grade elementary school student, worries that he may have to give up his favourite violin which he has been learning to play. However, his father Masato (Endo Kenichi), mother Kiyoko and grandmother En stay positive. Masashi learns from the hardiness of the adults and strives towards the path of music while surrounded by the love of his family.
