Summary:
Makino Tsukushi is the only poor student at Eitoku Gakuen, the school of the ridiculously rich and privileged that is ruled by Flower 4 or F4, a group of four boys who come from extremely powerful families: Domyoji Tsukasa, the leader and heir of the Domyoji World Finance Group; Hanazawa Rui, the introverted son of a large company; Nishikado Sojiro, a player who is the heir of a tea ceremony school; and Mimasaka Akira, a madam killer with ties to the underground. If a student gets on the F4’s bad side, he/she gets a red notice and is bullied and driven out of school.
Makino hopes to pass her days quietly– without drawing any attention to herself– but one day, she stands up to Domyoji in defense of her friend. The next day, Makino gets the dreaded red notice. Even though she is harassed, Makino decides to keep going to school because she is a “tough weed”. She declares war right back on the F4. Her resolve gets the attention of her crush Hanazawa Rui and oddly enough, rouses romantic feelings in her worst enemy, Domyoji Tsukasa.
The series is based on the Japanese shoujo manga “Hana Yori Dango” (Boys Before Flowers) by Kamio Yoko.

From all variant of the series, Taiwan (meteor garden), Korean (Boys Over Flower) i have seen, the japan much better and each parts of the stories more make sense to me and the look of Tsukasa as a very rich family is showed perfectly..

Hello, thank you for this series!
Anyway, I see everyone is commenting about the broken link of ep09 part2.
I tried it myself from several links provided, and it can be downloaded okay.
The thing is, when I tried to unzip it, I was unable to, because the file itself is broken.
I don’t know how it is with everyone else, but I hope the info helps
Nevertheless, I still thank you guys so much for this classic jdrama.
Love it so so much!! =D

I have just started watching Hana Yori Dango (finished watching 8 episodes) and I’ve fallen in love with it! I have already seen the Korean Boys Before Flowers (in fact, it was my very first Korean drama, and I have always loved it very much) but this one is much better.

The Korean version was beautiful to look at, with the handsome actors, wonderful locations and all the flash. However, the Japanese drama simply has a wonderful feel to it. The chemistry between the lead actors is perfect, and the story is touching as well as humorous.

I had fallen in love with Lee Min Ho after BBF (he still remains one of my favourite Korean actors) but seriously, Matsumoto Jun is just so…KAWAIIII!!! I feel myself rooting for him throughout the series. He may not be as good looking, but he has this wonderful charm about him 😀 And he looks adorable with Inoue Mao.

I even like the music and background scores in this version more than the Korean series (although I think the Korean version’s music is also fantastic)
